Nearly forgot about this one.

Bleach fanart of the academy kids! Done... a long time ago! Ink, Copic/Prisma markers, brush pens etc. and guache! (I think that's how you spell it) The original is about 7.5 x 11in on Bristol board and for sale at Fanime'o6 yay! Finni sucks at traditional art but she tries anyway! Oh but Renji's hair isn't quite so FLAMING RED on the original. It just scanned like that.

Also a sample of my marker work and will be doing marker commissions at Fanime too. Wow I feel like such an artist-prostitute, selling my artwork and body for money!


Lately I've been getting a lot of people telling me how much they hate my watermarks and how much they'd love a bigger version. If you can stop the art theft, I'd be glad to remove watermarks and upload large sizes! You think artists LIKE to shrink their work so that you can't see most the detail? You think I love covering my artwork with my name and dA URL? Noooo.

o_o I don't think my markering is all that good (you ought to see *nyanko-chan's markering, she is GOD. XD) but having nice markers definately helps. D:

..one trick I've discovered in my dealings with prisma markers.. is to completly saturate the paper with the base color, and then do the shading while it's still wet. And avoid fans and airconditioners like the PLAUGE. o_o It makes the shading come out reeeaaalllyyy smooth.

If the kind of paper you're using doesn't lend itself well to marker saturation because it'll bleed a marker dry... (heavy weight papers have that nasty habit), then use marker for just the base color and then use colored pencils (prisma, faber-castell, caran d'ache) for the shading. It creates a REALLY nice effect.
