Dr. Finni, Ph.D.
Age: ??
Height: 154cm (~5')
Weight: 49kg (108 lbs)

Her ultimate scientific goal: to isolate transcriptive genes that enhance cell proliferation in embryonic Pokemon in order to create mass amounts of transgenic Finneon as feeder fish in a cheap and sustainable way to feed her Wailord, Triacylglyceride -- more lovingly known simply as "Fatty".
However, the means to attain this goal seems to be shady and borderline unethical at best. But no one can figure out exactly what goes on in her lab, because no one seems to be able to figure out what she's saying half the time. For a scientist, she lacks a lot of common sense and forgets (frequently) that not everyone speaks science.

She's stingy, selfish, a penny-pincher, a workaholic, often extremely sarcastic but definitely dedicated, detail-oriented, and extremely ambitious. Also eccentric. Very eccentric.

No one can figure out who in their right mind decided to give her a Ph.D. Or if her degree is even legit.

Her post-doctoral research is currently being conducted in the basement laboratories of Celadon Enerprises Co., where she spends 98% of her waking hours. Instead of purchasing expensive lab equipment, she trains her Pokemon to be used as lab slaves.

Triacylglyceride -- aka "Fatty" (Wailord) male; alternate color.
The only Pokemon that Dr. Finni shows humane emotional concern towards. He is very fat and stupid. But mostly fat. Consumes 16,000 pounds of Finneon daily, if given the chance.

Bunsen -- (Cyndaquil) male -- shiny
The only one who seems to be happy to be used and abused. That or he's just simply not capable of making any other facial expression. Is able to precicely control the flame on his back to use for various lab techniques such as sterile culture transformation. Prevented from evolving several times -- Quilava simply wouldn't fit under the burner rack.

Phosphofructokinase-2 -- aka "PFK2" (Girafarig) female
Named for the dual phosphotase-kinase activity of the regulatory enzyme that converts fructose-2,6-bisphosphate in regulation of glycolysis, duh. Has dual natures (head: Hasty; tail: Quiet) and can work simultaneously from both ends, often at lightning speeds. This is useful when there are important reagents on the top shelf for the head to reach (Note: Dr. Finni's height) and the tail is being used as a makeshift test tube holder. Hates life and would love to destroy everything if given a chance.

Electrophoresis -- aka "Blot" (Magnemite)
Is capable of conducting a specific voltage for extended periods of time. Additionally, is also capable of separating negative and positive currents to allow for gel electorphoresis to separate DNA, RNA, and proteins. Likes to make lots of strange noises when excited, but no one can tell what it's saying. Additionally, falls asleep on the job often, but has learned never to stop the current unless ordered to. Bad experiences.

Centrifuge -- (Hitmontop) male
Spins. All day long. Seriously. He must have some sort of genetic mutation that prevents him from getting dizzy, because Dr. Finni uses him to spin at 15k rpm for hours at a time. Bright, optimistc, cheerful, and eager. Is easily disappointed.

Lysis -- (Scyther) female
Has what would be the Pokemon equivalent of obsessive compulsive personality disorder. Which, in turn, makes her a very effective tissue slicer to prepare microscopy slides. Is able to slice each sample with razor-sharp blades into paper-thin pieces of equivalent width! Fancy. When not working, Lysis feels the compulsive need to rearrange everything in the lab in perfect, neat compartments; from small to large. Obviously, she's one of Dr. Finni's favorites.

Maintains the cold room at 4C. Cold rooms are expensive shit to maintain, you know! Occasionally helps to freeze-shock competent cells as well as making ice cubes for ice buckets.

Avogadro -- (Chingling) male
Jingles loudly and is constantly counting. Therefore, makes a great timer. Doubles as a mighty attractive door-handle charm.
